As an administrator, you have the ability to edit settings for your account, and can choose to lock or allow entities below you from further editing. If you have the highest level of access for your account, you have unlimited access to control all settings. Please note that if you are an administrator but there is someone with higher access than you (such as Account Manager), you might not be able to fully edit settings if they've been locked from above.
When you go to Settings, you'll see five sections:
A. [Entity] Name - If you need to change the name of an entity (this could be an account, organization, center, or classroom depending on your access level) at any point, simply click on the edit (pencil) icon and update the name!
B. Assessment Periods - The first thing you'll want to configure is whether or not you'd like to allow users with lower access than you to further customize the assessment periods. If everyone within your program uses the same assessment periods, you'll want to slide the customization toggle OFF. Then, add the default assessment periods, and they will automatically be applied to everyone! If classrooms or centers within your program use different assessment periods, it's important to leave the customization toggle turned ON. You can still set default assessment periods, but users a level below you will be able to edit them to fit their needs.
C. Messaging - If you plan to take advantage of the integrated family engagement features within COR Advantage, this is an important section to review!
- Digest Settings - The digest is a wonderful way to communicate with families on a consistent schedule. The digest is designed to send families a collection of all observations teachers have connected to their child's profile since the previous digest was sent. Many teachers choose to schedule a digest to go out once a week, generally on Fridays. Others prefer to have a daily digest go out at the same time each day. The decision is yours to make! When observations are sent to families, they'll only see the anecdotal notes teachers have written out. If you'd like them to see the corresponding COR item, check the box to "Show Tags on family emails." Don't worry, they'll only see the item and not the scored indicator!
- Family Reply Settings - When users send a message of any type from the COR Advantage system, the family members they send it to have an option to reply to the email they receive. The responses can be routed to whoever you'd like! By default, the responses will go to all teachers in the classroom which sent the message, but if you'd like to direct them elsewhere, uncheck the box for "All Classroom Teachers" and enter the updated email address!
D. View [Entity] Settings - You can clearly see which entities have your default settings, and which entities have customized their settings. Of course, if you've locked the customization settings, you should only see "Default" listed! If you'd like to look at any of the entity settings in detail, simply click on the entity name. You can view, or even override, the settings this way!
E. Add [Entity] - Need to create a new organization, center, or classroom? Simply click "Add [entity]" and type the appropriate name!
