You can set up and edit all of your student, family member, and teacher information in Roster.
You can add other teachers to your classroom by navigating to the Teachers tab at the top of the page. Click Add Teachers, or the green circle plus button to enter a new teacher into the classroom.
You can also edit, move, or delete teacher accounts by clicking into the appropriate profile.
- If you choose to take advantage of our new, integrated family engagement features, it's important to know that families cannot see your contact information! They will see that the information is from your classroom.
In Roster, click Add Students or the green circle plus button.
To add a student, COR Advantage requires:
- First and last name
- Birthdate and enrollment date
- Funding source(s)
- Home language
- IEP or IFSP designation
- Race and ethnicity
- Family structure
*Please note the ELL items are activated if a student is over two years of age and has a home language other than English.
Your administrators might also designate some other fields as optional or mandatory, like:
- Student ID
- District ID
- Free or reduced lunch
- Parent education level information
Other optional fields include:
- Media safe - This will allow you to filter out observations that include children designated as Not Media Safe when you are looking for media to use publicly.
Here's a video to show you the process in detail:
If you'd like to move or archive a student profile, you can check the box to the left of the student's name on the main Roster page and select either "Move" or "Archive" from the black bar of options at the top of the page.
Family Contact Information
Once a student has been created, you can add as many family members as needed to their profile. Click on Add Family in a student's profile to include a new contact to his or her profile.
In order to add a family member, you need to provide either an email address or a phone number, or you can include both. The default setting is email, but if someone would like to receive text messages, you can toggle SMS to on at the bottom of the window.
Our new system also offers translation. If a family member might prefer to have messages translated into another language, you can set their preference in this window.
Please note that once a family member has been added, he or she will start receiving anything that the you or your co-teachers send out of the system. You may want to wait to add in family contact information until you've had time to plan how you want to communicate with your families using Storyboards, Moments, and Messaging!
